News Michael Cristofer Will Be Theresa Rebeck's Novelist for Dorset Theatre Festival Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning actor-playwright Michael Cristofer will star in the title role of Theresa Rebeck's The Novelist at the Dorset Theatre Festival in Dorset, VT.

The production will begin its run Aug. 18 and continue through Aug. 29. Jeremy Cohen will direct a cast that also includes Kathryn Grody, Stephen Barker Turner, Liam Craig, Mary Bacon and Jennifer Ikeda.

Cristofer received the Pulitzer and Tony for his play The Shadow Box. He recently appeared in the revival of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge; additional acting credits include Intelligent Homosexual…, Festival Trumpery, Body of Water, Three Sisters and Romeo and Juliet. He is currently appearing on the AMC series "Rubicon." Screenwriting credits include "The Shadow Box," "Falling in Love," "The Witches of Eastwick," "Bonfire of the Vanities," "Casanova" and "Georgia O'Keefe." He directed the telefilm "Gia" and the films "Body Shots" and "Original Sin."

Rebeck is a Pulitzer Prize finalist whose work includes Broadway's Mauritius and Off-Broadway's Omnium Gatherum (co-written with Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros), Bad Dates, Spike Heels, The Understudy, Loose Knit, The Butterfly Collection, The Water's Edge, The Scene, Our House and more.
