Directed by Gary Griffin, this reconceived production of the beloved musical features 10 actors and two pianos. Kate Fry stars as Eliza Doolittle opposite the Henry Higgins of Michael Cumpsty. The cast also includes Simon Jones as Colonel Pickering and Michael McCarty as Alfred P. Doolittle with Jane Connell, Patricia Kilgarriff, Stephen Mo Hanan, Jeff Edgerton, Brenda Martindale and Jim Stanek. My Fair Lady is based on George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion and features a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. The original Broadway production opened on March 15, 1956, ran for over six years and won nine Tony Awards, including one for Best Musical. The score contains such Broadway classics as "I Could Have Danced All Night," "On the Street Where You Live," "Wouldn't It Be Loverly?" and "Get Me to the Church on Time."

Director Gary Griffin's recent credits include the Donmar Warehouse production of Pacific Overtures and the City Center Encores! mountings of Pardon My English and The New Moon. He will direct a musical version of The Color Purple this fall at the Alliance Theatre. Chicago actress Kate Fry has performed leading roles with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and the Court Theatre, including My Fair Lady's Eliza Doolittle for director Griffin in 2002. She has also appeared in productions of Pygmalion and As You Like It. Michael Cumpsty's numerous Broadway credits include Artist Descending a Staircase, La Bete, Timon of Athens, The Heiress, Translations, Racing Demon, 1776, Electra, Copenhagen, 42nd Street and Enchanted April.
