News Michael Grandage to Direct Le Nozze di Figaro for Glyndebourne Opera Tony and Oliver Award-winning director Michael Grandage will stage a new production of Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro as part of the Glyndebourne Festival Opera's 2012 season.

Grandage, the artistic director of London's Donmar Warehouse, returns after staging Billy Budd for Glyndebourne in 2010. He most recently directed the Donmar production of Red to acclaim on Broadway in 2010.

The director will reunite with his Tony-winning Red production designer Christopher Oram, as well as Tony-winning War Horse lighting designer Paule Constable. The production will have movement by Ben Wright.

American soprano Isabel Leonard will appear as Cherubino, and Sally Matthews will sing the role of Countess. Robin Ticciati will conduct.

Le nozze di Figaro will run June 27-Aug. 22, 2012.

Additional productions include The Cunning Little Vixen, La Cenerentola, La bohème, The Fairy Queen and a double-bill of L'Heure Espagnole and L'Enfant et les sortileges.
