Directed by Keith Merrill and produced by Anne Kaufman, the 7 PM reading will feature Michael Urie (Oswald), Richard Easton (Pastor Manders), Jim Brochu (Engstrand), Julia Motyka (Regine) and Rachel Pickup (Mrs. Alving).
Here's how Noël & Company describes Ghosts: "When a family's darkest secrets are revealed, the Alving's world unravels and shadows of the past wreak havoc in this lonely house in deepest Norway. Thought of as an inverse version of A Doll's House 'Ibsen is determined to show you what comes of the scrupulous line of conduct you were so angry with Nora for not pursuing.'"
Music will be provided by cellist Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf of the Salon Concert Society.
Guest speakers at the reading will include Helen Sheehy, Anne Kaufman and Easton.
Ghosts is presented as part of Noël & Company's Eva Le Gallienne Festival premiere, which celebrates the life and work of theatre pioneer Le Gallienne. An exhibition with some of her most treasured possessions will be on display. The Festival will run from March-December, comprised of her greatest roles, translations and plays from the groundbreaking Civic Repertory.
The Players Club is located at 16 Gramercy Park South (20th Street and Park Avenue South). For more information and tickets, visit NoelAndCompany.org.
