Middendorf, Laurence and Milligan to Star in Westport's The Pavilion

News   Middendorf, Laurence and Milligan to Star in Westport's The Pavilion
Casting is complete for the Westport Country Playhouse production of Craig Wright's romantic comedy The Pavilion, which begins performances May 13.

Tracy Middendorf (Lincoln Center Theater's Ah, Wilderness) will star alongside Talk Radio's Michael Laurence and Michael Milligan (The Golem) under the direction of Westport artistic associate Chad Rabinovitz.

The Pavilion, according to press notes, follows "Peter (Laurence) and Kari (Middendorf), who were the Class of 1988's Cutest Senior Couple. In high school, it seemed like everything in the universe worked to make their happiness possible. But at the end of senior year, Kari got pregnant and Peter ran off. Two decades later, the two have not seen each other since the day Peter left…and now he's come to their 20th high school reunion to get her back."

The Westport design team includes Hugh Landwehr (scenic design), Laurie Churba Kohn (costume design), Clifton Taylor (lighting design) and Ryan Rumery (sound design).

The Pavilion runs through May 31. Tickets are available by calling (203) 227-4177 or by visiting www.westportplayhouse.org.

* In its 78-season history, the Westport Country Playhouse — located in Westport, CT — has produced more than 700 plays, 35 of which have transferred to Broadway.
