The creative team behind last fall’s Shake & Bake: Love’s Labour’s Lost, which served Off-Broadway audiences an eight-course tasting menu throughout the performance, have teamed up with Then She Fell creator-director Zach Morris to put their culinary spin on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Midsummer: A Banquet takes a page from the royal wedding for Theseus and Hippolyta, serving audiences a multi-course tasting menu spanning the royal rehearsal dinner to the celebratory wedding feast. Emilie Baltz will create the menu.

A co-production between Food of Love and Third Rail Productions, Morris will direct and choreograph Midsummer: A Banquet, which begins previews July 15 at Café Fae, ahead of a July 24 opening night. The production is currently booking through September 8.

The cast will feature Caroline Amos as Hermia/Snug/Fairy, Joshua Gonzales as Demetrius/Snout/Fairy, Charles Osborne as Bottom/Egeus/Fairy, Adrienne Paquin as Helena/Quince/Fairy, Victoria Rae Sook as Titania/Hippolyta, Lauren Walker as Robin Goodfellow/Philostrate/Straveling, and Ryan Wuestewald as Oberon/Theseus. Understudies are Cassie Gilling and Brendan Sokler.

The production will have set design by Jason Simms, costume design by Tyler M. Holland, lighting design by Deborah Constantine, and original music and sound design by Sean Hagerty.

Tickets, priced $75, can be purchased at FoodofLoveProductions.com.
