News Midtown International Theatre Festival Accepting Submissions The Midtown International Theatre Festival is now seeking submissions for its 11th annual season, which will run July 12-Aug. 1 in Manhattan.

The festival accepts a wide variety of stage works, including plays, musicals, solo shows, new works and revivals: The only stipulation is that each project must have a producer and production team attached. Productions are typically presented with minimal production values. The upcoming festival has announced the addition of a short subjects division. MITF will also present works in the Clurman Theatre on Theatre Row, which will join venues from previous years including the June Havoc Theatre, the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre, the TBG Theatre, the MainStage Theater, the Jewel Box Theater and Where Eagles Dare Studio Blackbird.

"Our eleventh year will be a breakout year for us, especially with our expansion to Theatre Row. I'm humbled by the response, in quality and quantity, to our calls for productions in recent years, and the upward trend is accelerating," said MITF executive producer John Chatterton.

The postmark date for submission deadline is Feb. 20. Visit MidtownFestival.
