A benefit for NJTV, New Jersey's public television network, the evening will be filmed for public television.
The 90-minute show, recorded in high-definition, will be offered to PBS stations nationwide. The concert special will air in the New York metropolitan area starting in December.
“The Midtown Men are a perfect match for public television,” said NJTV general manager John Servidio in a statement. “We’re excited to give their performance a life beyond the NJTV Benefit to entertain audiences across the country.”
The video will be directed by Pierre and François Lamoureux.
The Midtown Men features Tony winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony Award nominee J. Robert Spencer. Known for their lively versions of the greatest pop songs of the '60s, they have performed over 300 concerts across the continent. The group is currently on its fourth national tour, which features 26 major symphony performances.
