Joe’s Pub regular Migguel Anggelo has teamed up with Obie Award-winning director David Drake to create a new solo show in response to last year’s tragic shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. The show, titled Welcome To La Misa, Baby, is debuting in New York City as part of the Fearless series at the Clemente Theatre.

The Fearless series celebrates LGBTQ artists by presenting a number of works written in response to the Orlando attack. The series kicked off September 29 and is running through October 29.

Performed by Anggelo, Welcome To La Misa was co-created and is directed by Drake (The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me). In the show, Anggelo opens the doors to his own gay disco, all the while, singing, lip-syncing, and acting his way through a number of unforgettable characters.

Performances are October 26, October 27, and October 29.
