PlayBlog Million Dollar Quartet Performs on "Today Show" The cast of the Tony Award-nominated musical Million Dollar Quartet visited “The Today Show” June 2 to perform a medley of “Blue Suede Shoes” and “See You Later, Alligator” and to discuss the show.


Directed by Eric Schaffer from a book by Tony nominees Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux, the show is based on a 1956 jam recording session and features the hit music of the session’s performers, Elvis Presley (played by Eddie Clendening), Johnny Cash (Lance Guest), Jerry Lee Lewis (Tony nominee Levi Kreis) and Carl Perkins (Robert Britton Lyons). Elizabeth Stanley also appears in the “Today Show” performance as Dyanne; Tony nominee Hunter Foster completes the cast as record producer Sam Phillips.
