Off-Broadway News Ming Peiffer’s Usual Girls Extends Off-Broadway Again After selling out its initial extension in less than 48 hours, the critically acclaimed Roundabout show extends a second time.

The Roundabout Underground production of Ming Peiffer’s new play Usual Girls will now play through December 23 following a second extension. The world-premiere production, directed by Tyne Rafaeli, opened to critical acclaim November 5.

Through the story of Kyeoung, played by Midori Francis, Usual Girls paints an unfiltered and deeply personal portrait of what it is to grow up female and Asian-American.

Completing the cast are Sofia Black-D’Elia, Abby Corrigan, Ali Rose Dachis, Karl Kenzler, Jennifer Lim, Ryann Redmond, Nicole Rodenburg, and Raviv Ullman.

Usual Girls began previews October 11 in the Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. After quickly selling out its initial run, the show was first extended through December 16.

The creative team for Usual Girls includes Arnulfo Maldonado (sets), Ásta Hostetter (costumes), Jen Schriever (lighting), and Tei Blow (sound).
