Liza Minnelli and lyricist-director Fred Ebb will lead a Dec. 13 ceremony at the Minskoff Theatre where a $500,000 donation will be made to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) from retailer Bloomingdale's. Minnelli and Ebb, the respective star and director of Minnelli on Minnelli, now playing at the Palace, will accept a Bloomingdale's check on behalf of BC/EFA.

The Bloomingdale's contribution marks the single largest corporate donation to BC/EFA since the inception of the organization in 1987. This is the second year in a row that Bloomingdale's has donated the proceeds from holiday theme gifts sold through its mail order catalog. This year's contribution of $500,000 is double last year's production sources said. Altogether, BC/EFA is said to have raised $35 million in the fight against AIDS.

Cabaret star Susan Egan and the company of Smokey Joe's Cafe will perform at the event, which will take place in the Minskoff's second floor lobby at 7:45 PM, Dec. 13.
