Former Broadway Kim (Miss Saigon) Rona Figueroa will step into the role of Eponine in Les Miserables at the Imperial Theatre June 3-23.

Figueroa made her Broadway debut as Kim in August 1993, playing the role until July 1995. She then played Eponine on tour with the national company of Les Miserables from April 1997-May 1998. Other credits include Grusha in the The Caucasian Chalk Circle, Madeline True in The Wild Party and the title role in Turandot. Figueroa wrote and starred in the award-winning film short, "Waiting in the Wings."

Megan Lawrence, who is currently playing Eponine, will be taking a leave of absence from the show to wed cast member Kevin Kern. Kern plays the student Jean Prouvaire and understudies the role of Marius, the young student with whom Eponine falls in love (Lawrence and Kern have played the roles opposite each other).

The cast is headed by Fred Inkley (Jean Valjean) and Side Show's Alice Ripley (Fantine). Also in the cast are Philip Hernandez (Javert), Nick Wyman (Thenardier), Fuschia Walker (Madame Thenardier), Peter Lockyer (Marius) and Tobi Foster (Cosette).

Tickets ($15-$75) for regular performances of Les Miserables at the Imperial Theatre can be ordered by calling (212) 239-6200.
