News Money, Money, Money: NYC's Women's Project Stages Tandem Acts May 6 and 7 For eight years, Women's Project and Production has given their Playwrights Lab writers an assignment — craft a short play based on a subject chosen by the company to be directed by the Directors Forum. In 2001, the corrupting influence of cash is the subject in the Tandem Act's Not for Love or... series to be presented May 6 and 7 at the Women's Project Theatre.

For eight years, Women's Project and Production has given their Playwrights Lab writers an assignment — craft a short play based on a subject chosen by the company to be directed by the Directors Forum. In 2001, the corrupting influence of cash is the subject in the Tandem Act's Not for Love or... series to be presented May 6 and 7 at the Women's Project Theatre.

The six playwrights are Liz Duffy Adams, Barbara Goldman, Susan Eve Haar, Lesli-Jo Morizono, Elizabeth Rheinfrank and Alexandra Tolk, covering a wide range of styles in a wide range of locales, traveling from comedy to tragedy and from the dining room table to a house on the edge of the world.

Directing will be Carolyn Cantor, Heather de Michele, Jennifer Uphoff Gray, Mahayana Landowne, Rebecca Patterson and Deborah Saivetz.

The Directors Forum and Playwrights Lab aim to provide opportunities work and create for emerging women directors and playwrights. Carey Perloff, Lisa Peterson, Kia Corthron and Neena Beber are among the writers who have participated in the Playwrights Lab.
