His solo show of character monologues, Working Class, became a sleeper Off-Broadway hit two seasons ago. Now Richard Hoehler is back with more sad and funny stories of working men in Human Resources, beginning previews Jan. 14, 1999 at the Kaufman Theatre for a Jan. 21, 1999 opening.

His solo show of character monologues, Working Class, became a sleeper Off-Broadway hit two seasons ago. Now Richard Hoehler is back with more sad and funny stories of working men in Human Resources, beginning previews Jan. 14, 1999 at the Kaufman Theatre for a Jan. 21, 1999 opening.

In Resources five men (all played by Hoehler) struggle to survive and succeed in the sometimes harsh realities of life in New York City. Characters include a homeless veteran, a recovering addict, a store clerk coming to grips with his brother's illness, a once- prominent television weatherman on the rebound, and a retired meter-reader who now spends his days selling balloons outside Central Park.

Resources was first presented at NY's Mint Theatre in March 1998.
