News Montevecchi Set for Fashion-Inspired Bottega ZinZanni in Seattle Tony Award-winning actress Liliane Montevecchi will star in Teatro ZinZanni's Bottega ZinZanni – All Dressed Up with Some Place to Go in Seattle in June.

Created in collaboration with couture designer Luly Yang, Bottega ZinZanni, described as a send up of the world of high fashion, will feature 13 original designs by Yang. Performance dates are June 25-Oct. 11.

Teatro ZinZanni artistic director Norm Langill stages the work penned by Sylvia Peto. In addition to Montevecchi (Nine, Grand Hotel, Follies), the cast will also feature comedian Frank Ferrante, opera singer Rachel DeShon, contortionist Vita Radionova, the acrobatic teams of Les Petits Freres, Ming & Rui, Sam & Sandra and Alexa.

Press notes for Bottega ZinZanni read: "Following his meteoric rise and fall in the European fashion world, Caesar (Frank Ferrante), once clothier to the Stars, has retreated to Seattle. Now wildly successful, he lures his former muse and lover, Liliane (Liliane Montevecchi), to witness his new life as a hip Club owner. Caesar convinces Liliane to unveil her fall collection at Teatro ZinZanni (renamed in her honor Bottega ZinZanni) instead of in Milan. A living legend and true fashion icon, Liliane believes that everyone can be fabulous and accepts Caesar’s invitation with relish. Embodying her philosophy that fashion is not something you put on but, a lifestyle, she looks forward to the challenge of awakening the sleeping fashionistas of the Great Northwest."

The production will have additional costume design by Louise DiLenge and Beaver Bauer, with lighting by Peter Bracilano and musical direction by Norman Durkee.

Teatro ZinZanni performs in its own spiegeltent located at 222 Mercer Street in Seattle. For tickets, visit ZinZanni.
