The Chicago premiere of Ken Ludwig's comedy, Moon Over Buffalo, begins performances June 29, presented by Theatre at the Center in Munster, IN.

Dale Benson and Hollis Resnik star as an acting couple whose hopes for the big time are rekindled when they learn film director Frank Capra is interested in their work.

Theatre at the Center artistic director Michael Weber stages the play, which starred Carol Burnett and Philip Bosco on Broadway. Moon Over Buffalo is the subject of a film documentary, "Moon Over Broadway," which shows the painful process of putting on a new comedy, with Bosco and Burnett bristling in rehearsals.

The cast includes Ed Kross, Kelly Anne Clark, Katherine Keberlein, Lolly Trauscht, Dan Turek and Brian Vaughn. Designers are David Principato (set), Mary Ellen Park (costumes), Eric Appleton (lights), Kevin Barthel (wigs), Elizabeth Conley (props).

Official opening for Moon Over Buffalo is July 7. Performances continue to July 30. Tickets are $22. Theatre at the Center is at 1040 Ridge Road, in Munster, IN. Call (219) 836-3255 for information.
