News Moonlight Room to Shine On Off-Broadway Until Dec. 7 The Worth Street Theatre, which has done well by recent premieres of Christopher Shinn’s Four and Marlane Meyer's The Mystery of Attraction, has struck gold again with a new play. Its premiere of Moonlight Room by Tristine Skyler, set to close Nov. 24, has extended until Dec. 7.

The play has benefited from a positive review from the New York Times and a follow-up profile on Skyler in that broadsheet.

The show began previews Oct. 31 at the Tribeca Playhouse (111 Reade Street) for an opening Nov. 3. Artistic director Jeff Cohen, as with all Worth shows, directs.

Moonlight is set in the waiting room of a New York City hospital ER. There, two adolescents wait to hear the fate of their friend. Featured in the cast are Laura Breckenridge, Lawrence Jones, Kathryn Layng, Mark Rosenthal and Brendan Sexton III.

Skyler's background lies mainly in television and film. As an actress, she has appeared on TV in Providence" and "Angel," and in the film "Book of Shadows: Blair Witch II." As a screenwriter, she co-authored "Getting to Know You." She also starred in and co-produced the movie "Final Draft," which featured Rosenthal.
