News More Elaine Paige and Laura Benanti Added to American Songbook Series The American Songbook series has added two additional performances of its upcoming concerts by Olivier Award winner Elaine Paige and Tony winner Laura Benanti at the Allen Room overlooking Central Park.

Paige, who currently stars as Carlotta Campion in the Broadway revival of Follies, will now offer performances Feb. 10, 2012, at 8:30 PM and Feb. 12, 2012, at 6:30 PM. The acclaimed West End leading lady's numerous stage appearances include Evita, Cats, Sunset Boulevard, Piaf, Chess, Sweeney Todd and Anything Goes. A Tony Award winner for the 2009 Broadway revival of Gypsy, Benanti will perform Feb. 11, 2012, at 8:30 PM and 10:30 PM. Benanti most recently starred in the short-lived NBC series "The Playboy Club." She was Tony-nominated for her work in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown last season. She has also appeared in Nine, In the Next Room…, Into the Woods and The Sound of Music.
