The concert, entitled Mostly Arlen . . . All Audra!, will feature the acclaimed soprano accompanied by pianist Steven Blier, who will also host the evening. The evening is set to begin at 7 PM with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by the 8 PM show. The New York Festival of Song was founded in 1988 by co-artistic directors Michael Barrett and Steven Blier. Its mission, according to the company's website, is to create "intimate song concerts of great beauty, humor and originality, combining music, poetry, monologue, and story, to entertain, educate and create community among audiences and performers."

A four-time Tony Award winner for her work in A Raisin in the Sun, Master Class, Carousel and Ragtime, Audra McDonald was also seen on Broadway in Henry IV. The singer-actress made her solo Carnegie Hall concert debut in an evening of songs scored for big bands, performing several tunes from her Nonesuch CD "Happy Songs." McDonald's other solo recordings, "Way Back to Paradise" and "How Glory Goes," are also on the Nonesuch label. The acclaimed actress also co-starred in the NBC series "Mister Sterling.”

The concert will be held at Rafael Viñoly Architects, PC, located in Manhattan at 50 Vandam Street. Tickets, priced at $375, are available by calling (646) 230-8380. For more information visit www.nyfos.org.
