Presented by the Los Angeles-based Charlie B. Company, the play features an acting company and production team composed almost entirely of NYU/Tisch graduates. Andy Donald co-conceived and directs the piece. A fake Ken Burns-style documentary live on stage, the comedy follows the epic rise and fall of the fictional "Geek," who would grow up to become the world's biggest movie nerd and subsequently most powerful Hollywood mogul. The action is split between onstage parodies of classic films and onscreen interviews with famous movie stars.
The show plays at Collective: Unconscious, 279 Church St. Tickets are $15. Call 212-279-4488 or visit www.fringenyc.org(http://www.fringenyc.org/) for ticket and schedule information.
