Tony Award winner John Rando (Urinetown) directs the evening, which boasts the talents of Renee Elise Goldsberry (The Lion King, The Color Purple and Mimi in the final cast of Broadway's Rent), Leslie Kritzer (Legally Blonde, A Catered Affair) and Alexander Gemignani (Road Show, Les Misérables, Sweeney Todd).

The evening begins with a 7 PM cocktail reception, followed by dinner at 8 PM and the show at 9:15 PM. All money raised from this annual event will benefit MTC's extensive educational outreach programs, as well as its artistic development program.

MTC Board members Bethany Millard and Fiona Kirk are the co-chairs.

Under the leadership of artistic director Lynne Meadow and executive producer Barry Grove, MTC is a major resident Equity not-for-profit in New York City, operating theatres on Broadway (the Samuel J. Friedman) and off (Stage I and Stage II at New York City Center).

MTC productions have earned many awards, including 16 Tony Awards and five Pulitzer Prizes. Its production history includes Top Girls; Come Back, Little Sheba; The Receptionist; LoveMusik; Blackbird; Translations; Shining City; Rabbit Hole; Doubt; Kimberly Akimbo; Proof; The Tale of the Allergist's Wife; Love! Valour! Compassion!; Sylvia; Four Dogs and a Bone; Lips Together, Teeth Apart; Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune; Crimes of the Heart; and Ain't Misbehavin'.
