Fresh off of last year's Off-Broadway production of Crumple Zone, the Rattlestick Theatre set its stage for the world premiere of Killers and Other Family. The play runs Jan. 17-Feb. 18 with an opening scheduled for Jan. 20. Lucy Thurber, recipient of the Manhattan Theatre Club's Playwriting Fellowship Award, penned this work about a woman whose past catches up with her. Other plays of hers have been workshopped at Ensemble Studio Theater, MTC, The New Group and The Echo Theater Company.
John Lawler directs Killers with a cast that includes Tessa Auberjonois (daughter of stage and screen's Rene Auberjonois), Ana Reeder, Dan Snook, and Jason Weinberg. Designers include Charles Kirby (set), Dave Barber (costumes), Bobby Harrell (lighting), and Jason Mills (sound).
Performances will run at the Rattlestick, 224 Waverly Place, (off 7th Avenue at 11th Street) through Feb. 18. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased by calling (212) 206 1515, or online at www.smarttix.com. For more information, you can also check the Rattlestick website at www.rattlestick.org.
