It's been a busy winter for Musical Theatre Works. Two weeks ago, on Jan. 17, they offered a staged reading of Keith Herrmann and Barry Harman's musical project, The Haunted Hotel. On Jan. 31, Hereward Kaye and Stephen Clark will get their chance with the tentatively titled, Hell Can Be Heaven.

Taking the myth of Orpheus in the underworld into the computer age, Hell will be directed by Steve Dexter. Kaye wrote the score for Cameron Mackintosh's Moby Dick; Clark penned some of the revised lyrics for Mackintosh's Martin Guerre.

Appearing in this reading, which is co-produced by MTW with Sacha Brooks, will be Yasmine Alers, Rodney Hicks, Hunter Foster (Grease!), Tracey Nicole Chapman and Stephen Bienskie.

Admission to the readings, at 1 and 4:30 PM, is free but must be reserved by calling MTW, 440 Lafayette St., at (212) 677-0040.
