Women's Expressive Theatre or WET, a women's theatre collective, closes its production of the 1991 Susan Smith Blackburn Award winner, Bold Girls April 21. Performances began March 30. Bold Girls tells the story of three Belfast women, who, despite having husbands at war and in jail, have retained a strong bond with one another. The arrival of a mysterious young girl, however, threatens their closeness. Rona Munro is also the author of The Maiden Stone.
Eden, Denise Lute, Sally Wheeler and Marian Tomas Griffin star. They are directed by Flea Theatre resident director Hayley Finn. Finn's credits include Golem, The Bad Infinity and her one-person show, Hysteria.
