News Muny Kids to Play at the White House On Dec. 15, a group of young performers will travel from St. Louis to Washington D.C., to entertain employees of the Pentagon and the White House. The group of16 kids range in age from 8 to 13, and are known as the Muny Kids. They are the Goodwill Ambassadors of St. Louis' Muny Theatre, one of America's leading summer theatres.

On Dec. 15, a group of young performers will travel from St. Louis to Washington D.C., to entertain employees of the Pentagon and the White House. The group of16 kids range in age from 8 to 13, and are known as the Muny Kids. They are the Goodwill Ambassadors of St. Louis' Muny Theatre, one of America's leading summer theatres.

The Muny Kids were established in 1994, to benefit the Muny. To become a Muny Kid, one must be at least six years-of-age and have been cast in at least one Muny show. The one hour-and-a-half Holiday Program consists of mainly choral music with a little movement. Numbers include holiday favorites such as "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "Jingle Bell Rock."

The Kids will perform at the Pentagon, and for White House VIP Tours in the East Room, receiving a special White House tour. The kids will also visit the new musical theatre memorabilia exhibit at the Smithsonian.

There will be a private performance at the University Club in D.C., which is co-hosting the event with the Muny.
