News   Murder at the Gates, By Steven Sater and James Bourne, Begins Sept. 3 New York University's Tisch School of the Arts presents the new musical Murder at the Gates beginning Sept. 3.

The workshop began Aug. 19, prior to public performances; the show plays through Sept. 8. 

The production is directed by Peter DuBois (Sons of the Prophet, Modern Terrorism, Becky Shaw).

"It's Clue meets Clueless: Millennial America," press notes state. "A to-die-for manor in a posh gated community. A teenage girl's birthday — all her bestest friends arrive in costume to perform a murder mystery play. And then somehow the play becomes her life..."

The rock musical features book and lyrics by Tony Award winner Steven Sater (Spring Awakening) and music by British singer/songwriter James Bourne (Loserville, Out There: The Musical).

The show is fully cast from the student body.
