News   Music Man Box Office Opens Feb. 28 to Rhythm of March, March, March... New York City's 52nd Street will be crowded with 76 trombones, and hundreds of other instruments and players, when area high schoolers blare the songs of Meredith Willson's The Music Man Feb. 28, opening day of the box office for the show's upcoming revival.

New York City's 52nd Street will be crowded with 76 trombones, and hundreds of other instruments and players, when area high schoolers blare the songs of Meredith Willson's The Music Man Feb. 28, opening day of the box office for the show's upcoming revival.

A 500-piece marching band made up of players from five New York City area high school will crowd outside the box office of the Neil Simon Theatre 10:45 AM. The stars of the revival, Craig Bierko and Rebecca Luker, will also be on hand.

For the record, the high schools represented are Robert E. Fitch High School (Groton, CT), Morris Knolls High School (Denville, NJ), Jackson High School (Jackson, NJ), Mainland High School (Mainland, NJ) and Mt. Olive High School (Mt. Olive, NJ).

The Simon is at 250 W. 52nd St. (Between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The public is welcome.

Directed by Susan Stroman, The Music Man begins previews April 5 and officially opens April 27. The cast also includes Max Casella, Paul Benedict and Ruth Williamson.
