McCaig Regan Productions will present Rob Ford the Musical Sept. 16-28 at Toronto's Factory Theatre, according to RobFordTheMusical.com, and the production will hold open auditions June 16 at Second City Training Center.

Written by Brett McCaig and composer Anthony Bastianon, the creatives are seeking casting for the roles of Rob Ford; Doug Ford, his brother; and Tranny (a black or brown male with great comedic ability, who must be able to move) because Ford reportedly made off-color comments about the LGBT community.

According to the website, "This September, Rob Ford the Musical: Birth of A Ford Nation will take to the stage as an unabashed, take-no-prisoners comedy. In true Canadian form, it tackles the issue head on, through irreverence and fearless self-deprecation. Promising lampoon everyone and anyone who has been involved with the mayoral chaos, this urban satire follows the personal and political journey of Rob Ford as he ascends to power and global attention. The media, the police chief and the city itself are not off limits in Toronto-based writer Brett McCaig's latest musical comedy."

On May 1 Ford took a leave of absence from his position as mayor and from his campaign for re-election to enter drug rehabilitation.
