News Musical Theatre Guild's Wonderful Town Presented Nov. 17 The Musical Theatre Guild's production of the classic musical comedy Wonderful Town is presented Nov. 17 at the Moss Theatre at New Roads School in Santa Monica.

Directed by Lewis Wilkenfeld, the production features choreography by Lee Martino and musical direction by Dean Mora.

The cast includes MTG members Eydie Alyson, Will Collyer, Pamela Hamill, Kristi Holden, David Holmes, Damon Kirsche, Roy Leake, Jr., Ashley Fox Linton, Jennifer Malenke, Jeffrey Scott Parsons, Mark Reis, Michael Shepperd and Lowe Taylor as well as guest artists Jules Chavarria, Justin Jones, Matt Merchant, Tory Trowbridge, Daniel Switzer, Justin Michael Wilcox and David Zack.

Wonderful Town has music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and a book by Joseph A. Fields and Jerome Chodorov.

The musical, according to press notes, "tells the story of two sisters: Eileen and Ruth. Eileen is a beautiful innocent from Ohio seeking fame as an actress on Broadway. Ruth is Eileen’s older sister, who wants to be a writer, but must protect Eileen from the unspeakable evils and dangers they’re sure they’ll find in New York City in 1935." Song titles include ”A Little Bit in Love," “One Hundred Easy Ways (To Lose a Man)," “Wrong Note Rag” and “Ohio."

Erik McEwen is the production coordinator. Allie Roy is the stage manager, and Kirsten Shook and Stacey Cortez are the assistant stage managers.
