Jack wishes to marry Gwendolen, Algernon's cousin, but she seems to love him only because his name is Ernest, and her mother, Lady Bracknell, is horrified when she learns that Jack was adopted as a toddler when he was discovered in a handbag at a railway station. Algernon falls in love with Jack's ward, Cecily, who believes herself in love with Ernest - the non-existent brother she has never met." Song titles include "Mr. Bunbury," "Metaphorically Speaking" and "A Handbag Is Not a Proper Mother."

The McGinn/Cazale Theatre is located in Manhattan at 2162 Broadway at 76th Street. Tickets, priced at $20, are available by calling (212) 868-4444 or by visiting www.smarttix.com.
