Based on the play Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw—which, in turn, has its roots in the Greek myth of the same name—the show follows a flower seller of the London streets who wishes to work in a proper floral shop. When she overhears linguistics professor Henry Higgins wager that he can make any woman pass for a high society socialite, she seeks him out and offers to be his subject.

This mounting marks the show’s fourth revival of the 1956 musical. Joining Ambrose and Hadden-Paton on stage are two-time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz (Catch Me If You Can, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) as Eliza’s father Alfred P. Doolittle, Tony winner Diana Rigg (Medea) as Mrs. Higgins, and Jordan Donica (The Phantom of the Opera, Hamilton national tour) as Freddy Eynsford-Hill.

Rounding out the cast are Allan Corduner as Colonel Pickering, Linda Mugleston as Mrs. Pearce, Manu Narayan as Zoltan Karpathy, and ensemble members Cameron Adams, Shereen Ahmed, Kerstin Anderson, Heather Botts, John Treacy Egan, Rebecca Eichenberger, SuEllen Estey, Christopher Faison, Steven Trumon Gray, Adam Grupper, Michael Halling, Joe Hart, Sasha Hutchings, Kate Marilley, Liz McCartney, Justin Lee Miller, Rommel Pierre O’Choa, Keven Quillon, JoAnna Rhinehart, Tony Roach, Lance Roberts, Blair Ross, Christine Cornish Smith, Paul Slade Smith, Matt Wall, Michael Williams, Minami Yusui, and Lee Zarrett.
