The romantic musical, My One and Only, is to transfer to the West End in February 2002.

Heading the cast will be double Olivier Award-winner Janie Dee, who won rave reviews with her performance as an android in Alan Ayckbourn's Comic Potential at the Vaudeville, and, subsequently, Off-Broadway.

She will be joined by Crazy For You's Tim Flavin as Captain Billy Buck Chandler, a daredevil aviator who falls for Dee's English Channel swimmer, Edythe Herbert.

Loveday Ingram, Associate Director at the Chichester Festival Theatre (where the show recently finished a sell-out season) will direct Dee, Flavin and a cast of 24 as they sing their way through Gershwin greats such as "'S'Wonderful," "Funny Face" and "Nice Work If You Can Get It." The much-praised choreography is by Craig Revel-Horwood.

The venue will be confirmed at a later date.
