News My Trip to Al-Qaeda to Play Kennedy Center Three performances of My Trip to Al-Qaeda will be presented at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' Terrace Theatre this fall.

Directed by Gregory Mosher, Lawrence Wright's work will play the D.C. venue Sept. 22-24. The production is part of the Kennedy Center's Prelude Festival. Written and performed by Wright, the solo show, according to press notes, "details the development of Islamic radicalism that led to the attacks on September 11, 2001 and intertwines deeply researched, firsthand testimony with slides and video clips."

The show — based on Wright's Pulitzer Prize-winning book, "The Looming Tower: Al Qaeda and the Road to 9/11" — premiered at the New Yorker Festival in 2006 and also played a six-week run at SoHo's Culture Project.

Tickets, priced $35, are available by calling (202) 467-4600. For more information visit www.kennedy-center.org.
