News Nachtrieb's boom, with Krich, Garrison and Rives, Begins Seattle Rep Engagement Nov. 13 Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's apocalyptic comedy boom begins performances at the Seattle Repertory Theatre Nov. 13.

Gretchen Krich, Nick Garrison and Chelsey Rives star in the dark comedy under the direction of Jerry Manning. boom officially opens Nov. 19 and will play a limited engagement through Dec. 14 in the Leo K. Theatre.

Press notes for boom state, "A marine biologist calculates that the end of the world is near and posts an online personals ad, hoping to find a girl that will help him ensure the survival of the species. But when push comes to shove, saving life on earth on the first date proves to be a bit of a challenge."

The Seattle Rep design team includes set designer Jennifer Zeyl, costume designer Harmony Arnold, lighting designer Robert Aguilar and sound designer/composer Eric Chappelle.

In addition to boom, Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's plays include Hunter Gatherers, Colorado, Meaningless and The Amorphous Blob.
