News NAMT Adds Tonya Pinkins, Kerry Butler, Peter Friedman and More to Starry Lineup for Festival of New Musicals Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins, Tony nominee Peter Friedman, Kerry Butler and Chester Gregory are the latest actors to join the National Alliance for Musical Theater's October Festival of New Musicals.

Pinkins (Caroline, or Change), Friedman (Ragtime), Vanessa Ray (Hair), Katrina Diderickson (Pregnancy Pact), Olli Haaskivi (Bernice Bobs Her Hair) join the cast of Sleeping Beauty Wakes by Groovelily band members Brendan Milburn, Rachel Sheinkin and Valerie Vigoda.

Butler (Catch Me If You Can, Hairspray) is the latest cast member to join Kirsten Childs' Funked Up Fairy Tales, while Chester Gregory (Sister Act), Bryce Pinkham (Ghost) and Michael Winther (33 Variations) have been cast in the Justin Levine musical Bonfire Night.

The Ben Clark-Beth Turcotte musical The Circus in Winter has added Rachael Ferrara (Amazing Grace) and Steve Routman (The Shaggs) to its cast; Nicolette Hart (Rent) joins the cast of Bleeding Love by Jason Schafer, Arthur Lafrentz Bacon and Harris Doran; and Wayne Wilcox (Chaplin), Adam Heller (Elf) and Carrie Cimma (Lizzie Borden) will be part of Triangle by Curtis Moore, Thomas Mizer and Joshua Sher.

Itamar Moses and Gaby Alter's musical Nobody Loves You has added Carla Duren (110 in the Shade); and Dan Collins and Julianne Wick Davis' musical Southern Comfort welcomes Erik Lochtefeld (Metamorphoses) to its cast.

Presented Oct. 11-12 at New World Stages, NAMT invites industry members from across the country and around the world to attend the two-day event that showcases 45-minute presentations of eight new musicals.
