News Natalie Douglas, Julie Reyburn, Alysha Umphress, Rob Maitner and More Will Remember David Gurland July 11 A host of artists from the worlds of cabaret and Broadway will join forces July 11 to remember the late, acclaimed cabaret performer David Gurland.

David Gurland: A Celebration will be held at 7 PM in the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre.

Performers are scheduled to include Lisa Asher, Phil Bond, Jason Cannon, Natalie Douglas, Brian Farley, Michael Holland, Julie Reyburn, Tracy Stark, Alysha Umphress, Eddie Varley, Michael Walker, Jonathan Whitton and Mr. Gurland's partner, Rob Maitner, who is presenting the concert.

The concert, originally by invitation only, will now have a limited number of tickets available to the public. The event is free, but reservations are required and can be made by emailing [email protected].

Mr. Gurland’s accolades included seven MAC Award nominations, the MAC/Hanson Award, a Gay and Lesbian American Music Award Nomination, and four Bistro Awards, one of which recognized his first CD, released in 1999 to rave reviews.

The Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre is located at 111 West 46th Street.
