News Natasha Richardson Cast in NBC's "Mastersons of Manhattan" Pilot Stage and screen star Natasha Richardson has been cast as one of the two leads in NBC's comedy pilot "The Mastersons of Manhattan," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The comic soap opera is about two sisters in a socially prominent New York family. NBC Universal TV Studio is producing the pilot, which is directed by the veteran comedy director James Burrows ("Friends," "Cheers").

Richardson won a Tony for playing Sally Bowles in Cabaret and received nominations for A Streetcar Named Desire and Anna Christie. She also appeared on Broadway in Closer and in London in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hamlet, The Seagull, High Society, Anna Christie and Lady From the Sea.

Her television credits include “Ghosts” (BBC), “Suddenly Last Summer” (BBC), “Zelda” (TNT) and “Haven” (CBS). Her film credits include "Maid in Manhattan," "Asylum," "Nell" and "The Handmaid's Tale."
