In a new version by Pam Gems, The Lady from the Sea previews from May 8, with a press night on May 15, and will run until June 28. Designs are by Rob Howell, with music by Shaun Davey, lighting by Hugh Vanstone and sound by John Leonard. Natasha Richardson, part of the Redgrave theatre dynasty (her mother is Vanessa Redgrave, her grandfather was Sir Michael Redgrave) has been seen in New York more than London in recent years.
Her Broadway roles have included that of Sally Bowles in Sam Mendes' internationally successful production of Cabaret for which she won the Tony Award for Best Actress, and Anna in Closer, written and directed by Patrick Marber.
Other theatre credits include David Leveaux' production of Anna Christie which subsequently transferred to Broadway, Richard Eyre's production of High Society and Charles Sturridge's production of The Seagull.
The Lady From the Sea will be Sir Trevor's first production after leaving the National Theatre.
