Classic Arts News National Arts Centre Orchestra Announces 2005-06 Season Ottawa's National Arts Centre Orchestra will perform two world premieres and tour Alberta and Saskatchewan in 2005-06, the orchestra announced.
The two world premieres, both commissioned by the orchestra, are by Canadian composers Gary Kulesha and Alexina Louie.

Music director Pinchas Zukerman will conduct 11 subscription programs, as well as leading concerts on tour and appearing as a violinist and violist. His instrumental appearances will include a duo recital with Itzhak Perlman, a performance of the Berg Violin Concerto with Oliver Knussen as conductor, and performances of violin sonatas with pianist Marc Neikrug.

Guest soloists include soprano Jessye Norman, violinist Hilary Hahn, pianist Lang Lang, cellist Lynn Harrell, and percussionist Evelyn Glennie.
