News Nature Theater of Oklahoma's Rambo Solo Extends Off-Broadway Soho Rep in New York City has extended the Nature Theater of Oklahoma's Rambo Solo, featuring Zachary Oberzan, through April 19.

Rambo Solo began performances March 19 and opened to positive reviews on March 21. The Off-Broadway engagement of the solo play, which was scheduled to conclude April 12, has now been extended one week through April 19.

Created and directed by Nature Theater founders Pavol Liska and Kelly Copper, Rambo Solo is built upon Oberzan's obsession with the film "Rambo: First Blood."

According to press notes, "[Oberzan] first saw the Hollywood blockbuster during one magical weekend spent watching free HBO. He knows the story by heart — but can he navigate all the perilous twists and turns of his own obsession with it? Set in the dark heart of Zack's tiny New York studio apartment, Rambo Solo follows one man's private passion to its limits, as he struggles to re-enact the entire First Blood story in all its sweaty dramatic detail."

The work arrives in New York following engagements in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. Rambo Solo has production and video design by Peter Nigrini.
