The eight-week course will run on Mondays, May 10-June 28, from 3:30-6:30 PM at Studios 353. Auditions are required.

"Designed for actors, directors, theater artists or anyone with some prior training or professional experience," press notes state, "this 8-week course focuses on refining the actor's skills. This is a laboratory where actors will be challenged with contemporary scene work and both contemporary and classical monologue work. A select group of actors will be assembled for these 8 weeks. This will be a fun, challenging class for actors who want to sharpen their tools, learn how to ask smart questions, make strong choices, break bad habits, and cultivate character through the self with honesty, integrity, simplicity and playfulness. All are welcome to audition. The session will culminate with a 'sharing' of the work open to invited guests, followed by a reception."

Naughton has appeared on the New York stage in The Rivals, Three Sisters, All My Sons, Dance of Death, Hunting and Gathering, Indoor/Outdoor, Lucy, Fizz, Tesla's Letters, Uncle Jack and Evolution. She received a Helen Hayes nomination for her work in Proof at Arena Stage and appeared in Company at the Kennedy Center Sondheim Celebration.

Studios 353 is located at 353 West 48th Street. Tuition for the course is $240. To learn more and to schedule an audition, contact [email protected].
