The National Corporate Theatre Fund's Sixth Annual Chairman's Awards Gala will present awards to actors Frank Langella and Mercedes Ruehl on June 10.

Langella, who scored a Tony Award June 2 for his performance in the current production of Fortune's Fool, will be honored with the Career Achievement Award for his work on the American stage. Ruehl, a Tony winner for her role in Lost in Yonkers and the current star of Edward Albee's The Goat, will receive the 2002 Artist Award.

The Tony-nominated star of this season's The Elephant Man, Billy Crudup, and theatre actress Antonia Rey will be on hand to present the awards. Claudia Shear, star and author of Dirty Blonde, will host the event, and Tony-nominated The Full Monty composer David Yazbek is scheduled to perform.

Frank Langella made his Broadway debut in Seascape and has also appeared on Broadway in Passion, Amadeus, The Father, Hurlyburly, Present Laughter and Design for Living. Currently starring in Fortune's Fool, Langella is now the recipient of two Tony Awards, for Fool and Seascape. The National Corporate Theatre Fund, now in its 24th year, has raised corporate support for 11 of America's finest regional theatres, including The Globe, the Goodman, the Mark Taper Forum and the Cleveland Play House. The evening will also honor CVS/pharmacy for its long-standing commitment to the American theatre.
