News Neal Huff, Marin Hinkle, Sharon Washington Set for LCT3 Premiere of Luce Neal Huff, Marin Hinkle and Okieriete Onaodowan will star in the LCT3 world premiere of JC Lee's Luce, which will be staged by May Adrales, beginning Oct. 5 at the Claire Tow Theater.

Luce marks Lee's professional playwriting debut. The play will officially open Oct. 21 for a run through Nov. 17. Adrales directed David Henry Hwang's The Dance and the Railroad at the Signature Theatre Company, as well as Thomas Bradshaw’s Bereaved

In addition to Huff (Tame Me Out, When I Come To Die), Hinkle (Graceland, Elektra) and Onaodowan (Neighbors, Cyrano de Bergerac), the cast will feature Olivia Oguma (Les Miserables, Emotional Creature) and Sharon Washington (The Scottsboro Boys, Wild With Happy).

Here's how the play is billed: "When a teacher makes an alarming discovery about Luce (Onaodowan), an all-star high school student, Luce's parents (Hinkle and Huff) are forced to reckon with their idealized image of their son, adopted years ago from a war-torn African country."

Luce will have sets by Timothy R. Mackabee, costumes by Kaye Voyce, lighting by Tyler Micoleau and sound by Jill BC Du Boff.

Playwright Lee is a a recent graduate of the Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwrights Program at the Juilliard School and was a 2011-12 writing fellow at The Playwrights Realm. His plays have been in various stages of development throughout the United States at such theaters as South Coast Rep, the Magic Theatre, and the Williamstown Theatre Festival.
