News Neil LaBute's "BFF," Featuring Thomas Sadoski, Will Be Among the Offerings at 2012 Tribeca Film Festival The 2012 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by American Express and held April 18-29 in New York City, announced its lineup of 60 short films. Among the offerings is Neil LaBute's "BFF," which features Tony nominee Thomas Sadoski.

Directed and written by LaBute, the world premiere of "BFF" features Sadoski (Reasons to Be Pretty, Other Desert Cities), Gia Crovatin and Chris Henry Coffey. In the film, according to TFF, "Jack and Jill have been 'best friends forever,' and when Jill suspects that her boyfriend is cheating on her, Jack offers to help her."

Returning TFF directors joining LaBute include Julia Bacha, Matthew Bonifacio, Shawn Christensen, David Darg, Sasha-Waters Freyer, Martin Laporte, David B. Levy, Charles Lim, Bryn Mooser, Jay Rosenblatt and Joel Schlemowitz.

The 2012 slate will be presented in nine thematic programs (five narrative, three documentary and one experimental). Performers and interviewees at the festival include Jamie Lee Curtis, Rachel Dratch, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Fassbender, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Rachael Harris, Hugh Masekela, Sting and Lily Tomlin.

The Tribeca Film Festival has screened more than 1,300 films from more than 80 countries since its first edition in 2002. Since inception, it has attracted an international audience of more than 3.7 million attendees.
