Neil Patrick Harris, most recently seen on Broadway in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Assassins, will star as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the scenes from Shaffer's Amadeus. He will be joined by Williams-Paisley as Constanze Mozart, Michael York as Antonio Salieri, Kevin Bailey as Venticello II, Douglas Fisher as Major Domo, Richard Leighton as Venticello I, Michael McCarty as Count Franz Orsini-Rosenberg, Gregory North as Joseph II (Emperor of Austria), Tony Pasqualini as Baron Gottfried van Swieten, Sam Zeller as Count Johan Kilian von Strack, Christopher Carroll as Kapellmeister Bonno and Talmadge Ragan as Teresa Salieri.

James Robinson is set to direct the July 20 event, which will celebrate the late composer's 250th birthday. Leonard Slatkin will conduct the Los Angeles Philarhmonic, who will offer musical selections from Don Giovanni and The Magic Flute, among others. Soprano Mary Dunleavy and pianist Shai Wosner will also be featuring during the 8 PM evening.

Neil Patrick Harris has been seen on Broadway Assassins, Cabaret and Proof. He appeared in the Geffen Playhouse's production of All My Sons as well as the L.A. company of Rent, the Reprise! production of Sweeney Todd and the London mounting of tick, tick . . . BOOM! His screen credits include "How I Met Your Mother," "Undercover Brother," "Doogie Howser, M.D.," "Stark Raving Mad" and "Joan of Arc."
