The website, which focuses on sports betting, has been taking wagers on the major categories of the Emmy Awards, which will be presented on CBS Sept. 20 at 8 PM.
"30 Rock" and "Mad Men" are prohibitive favorites in the Best Comedy and Best Drama Series categories, respectively.
In the performance categories, Neil Patrick Harris, who co-starred in the Roundabout revival of Assassins and is hosting Sunday's festivities, is predicted to be the winner for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for "How I Met Your Mother," while Jane Krakowski, who won a Tony Award for the Broadway revival of Nine, is touted as the winner on the distaff side of the category (for "30 Rock").
Michael Emerson, who first came to prominence in the title role in Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, is predicted by Betus.com to be the winner for Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for "Lost," while multiple Tony Award-winning Glenn Close is expected to win a second statuette as lead actress in the FX drama "Damages."
You can find the Betus.com predictions here. To understand the predictions: the "Moneyline" figure is the amount the bettor wins if he/she wagers $100 on the contestant — if the number is preceded by a "+". If the number has a "-" that is the amount the bettor needs to wager to win $100 (namely, a heavy favorite to win). Bookmaker.com offers similar predictions in their Sportsbook/Entertainment section.
