When nominations for the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards were announced July 8, Harris received two nominations: Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series ("Glee") and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series ("How I Met Your Mother").

Due to an error, which was noticed by the Los Angeles Times, Harris was not among the nominees listed for the Outstanding Special Class Program nomination that was given to the The 63rd Annual Tony Awards. Only executive producers of that Tony telecast, Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner, were listed as nominees. That situation has now been rectified, and Harris will also vie for an Emmy in that category.

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast Aug. 29 on NBC. Jimmy Fallon will host.
