Neil Patrick Harris, who previously starred as Mark in La Jolla and Los Angeles, will join the Benny company of Rent for one week in Albuquerque, NM. The musical, running Dec. 1-6, plays Popejoy Hall at the University of New Mexico. Harris, best known as TV's "Doogie Howser, MD", appeared as Romeo this fall at San Diego's Old Globe. He also starred Off-Broadway in James Lapine's Luck, Pluck & Virtue.
Original Rent cast member Daphne Rubin-Vega will also rejoin a production of Rent -- this time for the Los Angeles run (Jan. 20 Feb. 28, 1999) and part of the San Francisco run of the Angel tour.
