News Neil Simon, Alfred Uhry and Tom Stoppard to Speak at the Guthrie Celebrated playwrights Neil Simon, Alfred Uhry and Tom Stoppard, whose works are part of the Guthrie's current 2006-2007 season, are scheduled to speak at the famed Minneapolis theatre.

On Oct. 8 at 2 PM Neil Simon will join Guthrie Artistic Director Joe Dowling for an "In Conversation" presentation on the Wurtele Thrust Stage. That venue will present Simon's Lost in Yonkers Sept. 23-Nov 12.

The "In Conversation" series will continue Nov. 6 at 7:30 PM with playwright Alfred Uhry. Uhry will be joined by director Mark Lamos and Father Michael O'Connell for a chat on the McGuire Proscenium Stage. The McGuire will also be the home of Uhry's Edgardo Mine from Nov. 4-Dec. 17.

The acclaimed series will conclude Dec. 18 at 7:30 PM on the Wurtele Thrust Stage with Tom Stoppard, who will be this year's Global Voices speaker. Stoppard's The Real Thing is currently running on the McGuire Proscenium Stage in a production helmed by Joe Dowling.
